List of Fives: Part One

I like doing lists... it probably appeals to my OCD. So, I've decided to do a series of blogs on lists… just thing I like.

My first one:
Five Hogwarts Subjects I Wish I Could Study:

1. Potions – I’m not looking for something to “put a stopper in death,” but I think it would be cool to have a potion that could clear up acne or give one a sense of “good luck.” I also like the meticulous nature of recipes and my secret crush on the Potion Master has nothing to do with it.

2. Herbology – Since most medicines originate in herb lore, why not go straight to the source? Besides, some of the plants (as described in J.K.’s works) sound downright interesting.

3. History of Magic – I’m a history buff anyway and I would take this class just to get my hands on the textbook. It would be interesting to see how magical history coincided with Muggle history and such. It would also be useful to see the timeline of when non-human magical creatures began to be oppressed.

4. Care of Magical Creatures – Who would not want to learn how to take care of a unicorn or hippogriff? I was disappointed that Harry did not continue his classes because I am sure there are countless other interesting creatures he would’ve learned about. And I want my own Kneazle!

5. Defense Against the Dark Arts – Well, this class would confirm for the Muggle that there are dark forces out there. As someone who is non-magical, I don’t know if it would prove useful without defensive spells but it would still be interesting. Yes, Hermione, even in theory.
